A late bloomer, that’s me.

Thanks for dropping by. Just some stuff that I had in mind.

5 more days to being 28.

2008 is finally here.

Same old, same old; no resolutions for me. Que sera, sera what will be, will be. It’s just another struggling year but syukur Alhamdulillah that the Almighty grant me the rezeki, good physique to continue my life and loving family to support my dreams. Nothing more that I could ask for (except for Apple PC Heheh.).

I spent my new year eve at a book fair yesterday. It was unplanned as initially I was following hubby to work and accompanied him to the clinic (yes, we are still suffering from the itching affair). Since the fair took place at hubby’s workplace, same building but different floor; I decided to take a look just in case they have Roald Dahl’s collections. Too bad Dahl’s were all sold out within the 1st 2 days. However, I got the novels that I’ve been wanting to read, the Kinsella’s shopaholic series as well as The Alchemist. They’re on 35% off. The highlight of the day was 2 mini reads of Wallace & Gromit that were sold for only RM1! As well as a cat owner’s manual at only RM5.97, not forgetting a Pregnancy book by the renown Dr. Alan F.Guttmacher. Not that I’m expecting but it’s a medical book sold at RM12 (normal price was rm79.90) so why not? I wish I could get my hands on Sue Townsend’s novels too but hubby gave me the look. So I know, I must stop at 8 items, boo hoo.

I did mention in my last entry that I’ll be going to The Curve and what a day it was. I bumped into KAMI’s gals, Zeyna and Juliana Evans. Both of them look so much hotter off-screen. I caught hubby checking them out right before my very eyes! Who wouldn’t? They’re friendly and nice especially Zeyna (the very reason why hubby watched KAMI). And I saw Gingerbread Man, an Elf, a clown on stilt , pretty much a Santa’s entourage. Couldn’t resist having a snapshot with mr.cookie himself. Yummy! The day wrapped up with us watching the National Treasure II.Ikea_005
Good movie.

As usual, hubby and I would surely stop at the Apple store (but never get anything and it has been 7 years!) to try out the PC with the  Mac OS X Leopard. For a while I thought I will get one for my birthday but who am I kidding? RM5,799!! Any takers? Dream on. Tsk, tsk… Seriously I must get a job to fulfill this dream of mine… I must be a Mac convert by 2008! Must!

5 more days to go before I turn 28. Childless, jobless and fatter. What a bummer.
You can bet I’m not looking forward to it.

Happy New Year anyway.

Scratch, type & dozing off…

Prior to typing this entry, I have popped a piriton into my mouth and we’ll see how far I can outlast my eyelids before they succumb to this tiny pill. Those who are not familiar with the medical lingo, piriton is a prescription that can cause drowsiness (helping you to doze off), in my case to refrain me from scratching. I got bitten by thief ants last week and the bites drove me out of my sanity and the doc from PK UPM told me it could take 1 whole month to heal. At the moment I am extremely embarrassed of my feet, I hide them nicely in my DP socks. I look like  a 5-year-old who’s suffering from scabies! Yucks!

However, I love today because it was sunny the whole day!  Sunny day for the apartment settlers is akin to heaven. Just today I finally sorted out my laundry, having my pillows, bolster and blankets basking in the sun, Alya got her overdue bath, even Donutt & Tyger weren’t spare from the cold shower. Rob_056_2Too bad for hubby though as he woke up on the wrong side of bed, to be precise; he woke up with swollen eyes, red patches all over his skin. Allergy. Brief trip to the physician and he got the exact same prescription like mine plus an injection; RM48 gone. He slept the whole day, poor guy.

On Thursday, I went out with a dear friend, Anis. Initial mission was to hunt for our teaching practice handbag and shoes but it failed miserably as we were tempted by something else like wristlets and cosmetics. We had fun as we had a lot of catching ups to do (somehow Anis was confined and not well over the hols). It gave me great retreat as my break was kinda packed due to ‘kenduri’ sortie. I discovered we got a lil’ mature over the holidays as we talked about kids, future financial plans, teaching practice (we got SMK Putrajaya Precint 16! Hoorah!), our better halves, channel 733, etc… We plan for a movie treat one of these days. Can’t wait! Rob_033_1Oh, did I tell you that I have attended classes? Still uncertained about Etika Perguruan under Dr. Ramli but Dr. Jam’s class was full of fabulousity! I love it when a lecturer teaches her students not only what’s in the syllabus but also lesson of life and that’s the exact dose I got from Dr. Jam. Anis, remember that we must; at all costs treat our income as ‘input’ and not as ‘throughput’! Heheh. One glitch though, the class is packed with PKPGs*@*#@#!! Hummmmmm… And it suddenly hit me that I’m not gonna meet my fellow brothers and sisters as often as before. I miss you guys, I must admit.

Wow this tiny thing still works! Only 3 paragraphs and already I’m yawning like a sloth. I’m planning to hit The Curve flea market tomorrow morning, followed by a movie marathon; provided that hubby’s allergy has subside. I miss the ambiance of New Year’s eve at Damansara. Speaking of which, have you got your resolutions written down yet? Mine? Count me out! I’m never good at thinking of any, let alone achieving one!

Seriously, i’ve got to log off. YAWNNNNN….Zzzzzzzzzz
. Till then, muacckss.

Not so great

With the rainy days, flood and all, my exam results decided to follow suit. Just great. Just what I need. Wish The BFG is here to consult me…tsk, tsk, tsk…

My Love Song

AJAB SI "Om Shanti Om" OST  (click here for the vclip)Omshantio07

Ankhon mein teri ajab si ajab si adaayen hain
There’s something special in your eyes

Dil ko banade jo patang saansein yeh teri woh hawaein hain
Your breath is the wind that makes my heart soar like a kite

Aayi aisi raat hai jo bahut khushnaseeb hai
This night is very lucky

Chahe jise door se duniya, woh mere kareeb hai
The one whom the whole world desires is close to me

Kitna kuch kehna hai phir bhi hai dil mein sawaal kahin
I have so much to say and yet I question….

Sapnon mein jo roz kaha hai woh phir se kahoon ya nahin
Should I voice what I’ve so often repeated in my heart?

Ankhon mein teri ajab si ajab si adaayen hain
There’s something special in your eyes

Dil ko banade jo patang saansein yeh teri woh hawaein hain
Your breath is the wind that makes my heart soar like a kite

Tere saath saath aisa koi noor aaya hai
The light emanating from you

Chand teri roshni ka halka sa ek saaya hai
Makes even the moonlight but a pale shadow compared to you

Teri nazron ne dil ka kiya jo hashar, asar yeh hua
Your eyes created such a tumult in my heart that…

Ab inme hi doob ke ho jaoon paar, yahi hai dua
All I wish for now is to drown in them

Ankhon mein teri ajab si ajab si adaayen hain
There’s something special in your eyes

Dil ko banade jo patang saansein yeh teri woh hawaein hain
Your breath is the wind that makes my heart soar like a kite

24th is here soon…

Last week was great. My sis was around and we had a great time. If it wasn’t for her, hubby won’t even think of going to Pavilion. But we did, and I got a bit ‘sakai‘. I love the boutiques (which I dare not or was it not qualified to enter?) especially Coach. The boutique is so girlish, the display is chic but of course I can’t afford anything, not even the handphone chain…sigh… Hubby and I were glued to one store, that was the Epi Store. It’s an authorized  Mac reseller.  I finally  got acquainted with a very friendly and helpful Apple salesperson; who didn’t judge me or perceived me as a stupido for asking question like, "Why should I get an iPod?" I told him that should I have the means to get an iPod or a Mac book I’d certainly look out for him. Humm when will that be I wonder… My sis had her cheat days of dieting as I was the worst diet partner. I introduced her to J.Co’s Glazzy doughnut. Well, ‘once bitten never forgotten’.  We queued for about 20 mins for a 1/2 dozen of doughnuts.(Guess she’ll have to activate her weight-loss regime upon landing!) But I guess the highlight of her trip would be her dining in Rebung (she’s Dr. Sheikh’s biggest fan). I underestimated this diner once as I thought it was just the hype of dining at a fancy restaurant co-owned by a cosmonaut but I was impressed with the food and the ‘kopi O kampung‘ is to die for. Forget Starbucks when you have a sip. Looking forward to the buffet lunch, I hope by then I’d be able to actually ‘pay’ for my food.

Another best event was the day we watched ‘Om Shanti Om‘.Please check out my fav song in this movie: Ajab Si . A great movie starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika as well as bunch of Bollywood famous acts. After weeks of persuading hubby and almost everyone to accompany me and to no avail, funny it was my sis who insisted to catch the movie; and we enjoyed every single scene and even planned to watch it again the very next day! (It didn’t happen though as I was down with excruciating period pain…) We are determined to get hold of the DVD, and I will elaborate no more of the movie as you have to watch it to comprehend my excitement. I simply love Shah Rukh Khan (and also Arjun Rampal!)

As they say, every good things must come to an end, so as my sis’s brief trip. She went home last Saturday. She wrapped up the trip with a ride on ‘Eyes on Malaysia’. At the airport, our goodbye was a swift one and reality kicked in when I realized that it might be the last time I’m going to see her till my convocation as she’s living for Sabah in January. Then I started to weep like a baby prior to attending my hubby’s friend wedding reception. Now I’m planning to go back to Kuching to give her a proper send-off.

As for my other sis, something unpleasant had happened which I hope will change her perspective towards everything. If you are reading this dear, bear in mind that there’s not a second pass by without us loving you. We are watching over your shoulders, at the same time praying to Allah SWT that you’ll learn your lesson and start thinking of us; how much we want you to succeed in life.

24th is here very soon and that’s the date when the semester reopens. I’ll be graduating soon and can’t hardly wait. My in-laws are here to celebrate Aidiladha and how I wish my parents are here too. 2 more weeks of leisure before I enthrall myself with more of EDU codes… :(

I received this in my mailbox today, For One More Day ; finally Mitch Albom’s 3rd book will be in celluloid again. I’m looking forward to this film as I’m very sure that it’ll captivate anyone as much as the success of ‘Tuesdays with Morrie’ as well as ‘Five People You Meet in Heaven’.
Till the next entry, have a nice day peeps. I’ll upload a few photos of our great days later.

PS: Did I tell you to brace yourself for boredom should you watch ‘The Golden Compass’? Hummm…
